Lee Richardson Takes Reins at The Packet House Grill

The Packet House Grill has a new owner and executive chef!

It was announced Tuesday (March 25) that Lee Richardson will take the reins at the Little Rock restaurant on Cantrell Road, which was built in 1869 and renovated and reopened in 2012.

Richardson, a New Orleans native, was previously the executive chef at Ashley’s at the Capital Hotel from 2007 to 2012.

“For more than six years I’ve driven by the Packet House almost daily, and I’ve always felt like it fit my vision for the ultimate in fine dining in Little Rock,” he said in a news release. “I came to Little Rock and took over a well-known and well-respected restaurant at Ashley’s, and that’s exactly what I’m excited to be doing at the Packet House.”

While Richardson has a vision for the Packet House Grill, he said since it’s an existing operation the changes won’t be made over night.

“But over time,” he says, “I will put my stamp on the restaurant and its menu.”

The Packet House is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 5-9:30 p.m., and happy hour is Tuesday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. For more about the restaurant click here, and for a look at the menu, click here.
