Last Look: Cheers to 20 Years!

Pop the bubbly and raise a glass with us in honor of our 20th anniversary. We propose a toast to all the nonprofits, entrepreneurs, small businesses, local artists and community leaders who have helped shape our past, present and future.

To celebrate, Soirée readers’ favorite spirits shop Colonial Wines & Spirits shares a few fabulous champagne cocktails, including a cranberry kir royale and a French 75.

COLONIAL’S CHAMPAGNE

INGREDIENTS

– 2 oz. Roxor Gin

– 1 oz. lemon juice

– 1/2 oz. simple syrup

– Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Blancs Sparkling Wine (recommended)

DIRECTIONS

Shake gin, lemon juice and simple syrup with ice. Strain into a champagne flute and top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a twist of lemon and serve.

CRANBERRY KIR ROYALE

INGREDIENTS

– 1 oz. chilled cranberry juice

– 1/2 oz. chilled Mathilde Creme de Cassis

– fresh cranberries for garnish

– Gloria Ferrer Brut (recommended)

DIRECTIONS

Divide the cranberry juice, creme de cassis and fresh cranberries among four champagne flutes. Top with champagne and serve.

FRENCH 75

INGREDIENTS

– 1/2 oz. simple syrup

– 1/2 oz. lemon juice

– 1 oz. gin

– 4 oz. chilled Champagne

DIRECTIONS

Stir the first three ingredients into an ice-filled Collins glass, then top with Champagne and serve.
