Lance Armstrong Coming to Little Rock for Cardiac Classic

How’s your heart? We’ve talked a lot about heart health during the month of February, but there’s an upcoming opportunity for you to do something about it, and there just might be a familiar face along the way.

The Arkansas Heart Foundation will host the Cardiac Classic, a bike ride with 20, 50 and 63 mile routes along the Arkansas River Trail out to Wye Mountain. Riders will enjoy fun rest stops, a great route, a post-ride chef prepared meal and more.

And who’s going to join in the fun? Lance Armstrong.

Not only with the cyclist be riding in the Cardiac Classic, but he’ll also be part of “An Evening with Lance Armstrong” the night before. This event will allow guests to hear Armstrong speak, meet and take pictures with him, as well as hang out with other riders and stuff themselves full of carbs before the ride.

Armstrong came to Arkansas last year for the Little Rock Gran Fondo, and it looks like he just can’t stay away. We don’t hate it, though.

The Cardiac Classic will take place on Saturday, April 25, with “An Evening with Lance Armstrong” slated for the night before, April 24.
