The Junior League of Little Rock (JLLR) hosts its inaugural Downtown Dash 10K/5K this Saturday, March 15. The race, which includes a scenic course through downtown Little Rock, will begin at 8 a.m on Fourth Street between Scott and Cumberland.
In its 92nd year of service, proceeds from the event support the JLLR’s seven community projects in Little Rock.
The Junior League recently adopted a four-prong, ten year strategic plan:
- Decrease childhood obesity in our community by increasing access to healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity.
- Improve literacy skills among Pulaski County students by narrowing the readiness gap.
- Secure our financial future through the growth of investments, endowments and sustainable fund development.
- Establish the Junior League as the premier source of female leadership development in Little Rock.
