The Arkansas Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation hosted its annual JDRF Imagine Gala in mid-April at the Little Rock Marriott. Co-chaired by Kristin and Mark Hodge and presented by the BKD Foundation and Lisenne Rockefeller and Family, the event raised funds for Type 1 diabetes research, in order to help find a cure. Sharon and Kevin Lamb, co-founders and owners of Advanced Tissue, accepted the JDRF Living & Giving Award, which is presented to a member of the community or a company who has greatly influenced the lives of others through generosity, service, volunteerism and leadership. Event-goers enjoyed cocktails, dinner, dancing to the music of The Groan Ups, a silent auction and a Fund A Cure Auction. During the aforementioned Fund A Cure auction, patrons were given the opportunity to make a contribution, of which,100 percent went to research.
