Chef Lee Richardson of Ashley’s at the Capital Hotel was recently awarded the James Beard Award. An event was held at the hotel in honor of those who voted for Richardson to receive the award. Guests enjoyed gumbo, red beans and rice and other New Orleans-influenced foods, along with a signature sangria. Live entertainment was provided by the Louisiana band Mitchell Cromier and the Can’t Hardly Playboys.
