Items Needed for Salvation Army Warming Center

The winter weather has hit yet again and has brought more frigid temperatures.

For a safe and warm place for the homeless, the Salvation Army Warming Center has opened at 1111 W. Markham, Little Rock. It is especially important today (March 3) since the city’s Day Resource Center is closed, and many of the other agencies that offer services to the chronically homeless have also not been able to open.

The Salvation Army may be the only agency open to the homeless today, so they are expecting heavy traffic at the warming center.

Captain Roger Glick is asking the community that if you are able to get out safely and would like to support their efforts, they are looking for donations of soup, chili, snacks (chips, granola bars, snack cakes), condiments (mustard, mayo, ketchup), coffee, cream and sugar.

For more information, call Glick at (913) 230-8575.
