What’s your design philosophy?
I believe in simplifying a space by using statement pieces, rather than a lot of decor. To complete the room I like to use different shapes, textures, patterns and angles which help to warm and soften the space.
How many years of experience do you have?
I am the third generation of a family-operated furniture store. Herring Furniture in Strong, Arkansas was established in 1942, so can I say since birth?
What celebrity would you like to decorate for?
Lucille Ball, if she were alive. She is bursting with personality and I would love to reflect that in her home.
When do you recommend using an interior designer?
Any time! I can assist in things as simple as needing a refresh, doing a remodel or building from the ground up. Blending two homes tends to be a challenge for couples and utilizing a designer can help bring together the best of both of their worlds.
What sets your firm apart from others?
Vivid Designs is a full-service design and furniture store. We give every client the opportunity to experience unique pieces that I hand-select or design for someone specific. There are no two people alike, therefore every room I design is completely different because I use each client’s personality to reflect the look of their home.
