Fifth Annual Maker Faire Coming to Argenta in May

Argenta is getting smarter by the minute.

The Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub is set to host the annual North Little Rock Mini Maker Faire on Saturday, May 11. Now in its fifth year, this celebration of art, science, technology and all things “made” will take over the North Shore Riverwalk.

This event takes its cue from the flagship event in San Mateo, California, which inspired a wave of mini faires nationwide. The Hub’s version has since built its own following of crafters, entrepreneurs, engineers, authors, artists, hobbyists and anyone who likes to create.

This year’s event will include robots, bicycles, handmade crafts, DIY science and technology projects, drones, music, food trucks, beer and more. Here’s a short glimpse at the lineup:

  • Giant Games Collection (play a big game of checkers, chess, Connect 4 or Settlers of Catan)
  • Make a comic book with Rebecca Ann Ivy
  • Quail’s Curious Contraptions
  • Arkansas Lego User’s Group
  • Relief Printing with Christine Guenard
  • Around the Galaxy scavenger hunt
  • Sweet & Savage Soaps
  • Artful Logic Custom Art & Jewelry Design
  • Custom T-shirt making
  • Buffalo Brewing Company
  • Reggae Flavors
