How to Create a Gourd-geous Thanksgiving Table

Move over, Halloween candy. It’s time for pumpkin pie.

Before we can properly feast at Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends, we must set the tone (and table) with the appropriate fall décor. Need helping getting started? Here’s how to host a gourd-geous Thanksgiving at home.

1. Create a Bas(t)e

Add olive branches, magnolia leaves, dried wheat and greenery to a chicken wire base for a table garland that will stay vibrant throughout the holiday season without water.

2. Incorporate Natural Textures

Fall in Arkansas brings to mind changing leaves, hunting and time spent outside. Embrace the season by adding layers of natural textures like feather chargers, woodgrain serving pieces and cork napkin rings. Pair with fine china like Herend’s goldfish scale and tailored linen napkins for a polished, outdoor-inspired look.

3. Embrace Color

Complement your table’s rich fall colors with pops of yellow and coral roses, calla lilies and potted kalanchoes, which can double as affordable party favors for your guests.

4. Celebrate the Harvest

Thanksgiving wouldn’t be complete without a last-minute trip to the farmers market or grocery store. While you’re there, pick up some seasonal produce like eggplants, grapes, cabbage, squash and artichokes to add as accents to your table.

Hosting Thanksgiving can be stressful. But by combining serving pieces you have at home with local produce and bulk wholesale flowers, you can make it easy as pie.
