Hope Ball

Giving Hope was the theme for the 2013 Hope Ball, an annual gala that benefits the 20th Century Club’s Hope Lodge. Chaired by Kristi Kennedy and Dianne Ross and presented by Windstream Communications, the event began with a 6 p.m. reception and Super Silent Auction at the Statehouse Convention Center. Dinner followed, along with a live auction of 10 amazing items: a piece of jewelry from Jones & Son; a 1-year lease of a 2013 M37 Infiniti from Ellis Infiniti; a trip to Napa Valley; and more. The Angels of Hope were presented by their fathers, followed by presentations of the Distinguished Service Award to Susan Whisnant, the Hope Award to Jeff and Christine Gardner and the Service Above Self Award in memory of Tom Burnett. Guests danced to Party Planet until midnight. The mission of the 20th Century Club is to provide “Hope Away from Home” — no-cost, temporary lodging to cancer patients receiving treatment in Little Rock area facilities.
