A Hillcrest staple is coming to an end. Local boutique Haus Werk recently announced it will be closing up shop.
“This was a difficult decision and was not made in haste,” shop owner Erika Little wrote in a mailer to nearby residents. “Although I am sad to see this chapter close, I am looking forward to having time to devote to my family and other personal pursuits.”
The self-described “eco-conscious lifestyle shop” opened in 2009 and carried clothing, decor, gifts and children’s items. The decision to close was first announced in the mailer before being announced via the store’s social media pages on Sunday, Nov. 17.
To mark the end of an era, Haus Werk will launch a closing and liquidation sale on Tuesday, Nov. 19, with all merchandise marked down to 20-75% off.
