Here’s Your Springfest 2017 Rundown

Get out the sunscreen and lace up the sneakers. This weekend marks the return of Springfest, the free and family-friendly counterpart to Riverfest. The second annual Springfest is up first with all your favorites in one place, and a few fun new pieces as well. Here’s a rundown of the stuff you and your fam don’t want to miss.

Ruff on the River Pooch Parade:

Bursting onto the scene in “Saturday Night Fever”-themed fashion, this year’s parade features animal rescues from All About Labs, Little Rock Animal Village and C.A.R.E., as well as your very own pup. So get Fido all funky and be there with bells on — literally or figuratively, your choice. And don’t forget the short-legged dog races (aka the Weenie Dog Derby) after the parade.

The Super Retriever Series Rock the Dock:

More pups, please. This attraction is a yearly favorite as crowds watch dogs compete in jumping competitions, with each leap ending in a giant pool. Beware the splash zone.

All-Day Activities:

Rock Town Laser Tag, sack races, climbing wall, mobile video game station, Cockrills Country Critters Mobile Petting Zoo, Jesse White Tumblers, The Hero Zone and lots more

Food Trucks:

Ozark Candies & Nuts, Flossie’s Funnel Cakes, Reggae Flavas, Sweet Tea Kitchen and Coffee Shop, W&M Concessions, Beaver Tails, Haygood BBQ Concession & Catering, Kona Ice, Bryant’s BBQ and Catering, The Food Commander, Nucci’s, Loblolly Creamery, Tommy’s Grill and Whitworth Concessions
