Gather ’round, foodies. The Department of Arkansas Heritage recently announced the finalists for the 2019 class of the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame.
The DAH awards highlight five categories of Arkansas eats: restaurants, proprietors, food-themed events, people’s choice and “Gone But Not Forgotten.” Nominations were opened to the public and judged by a 13-member committee.
“This is the first year we’ve heard from every county across the state,” DAH director Stacy Hurst said. “We are so pleased to be leading this conversation about food as a special part of Arkansas’ heritage and culture. We look forward to celebrating the flavors of Arkansas for many years to come.”
