Hope you’re taking notes, foodies. The Department of Arkansas Heritage recently announced the finalists for its Arkansas Food Hall of Fame inaugural class.
The DAH designed the awards to highlight three categories of Arkansas eats: restaurants, proprietors and food-themed events. Nominations were opened to the public and judged by a 12-member committee.
Here are the Little Rock finalists who made the list:
Restaurant:
- Bruno’s Little Italy
- Doe’s Eat Place
- Franke’s Cafeteria
- Lassis Inn
- Sims Bar-B-Que
Proprietor:
- Capi Peck
- Scott McGehee
- Paul Bash, Ed Moore, Louis Petit and Denis Seyer (the Continental Cusine partnership)
Event:
- World Cheese Dip Championship
