Ever since the Arkansas Repertory Theatre wrapped its season with the out-of-this-world production of “August: Osage County,” we’ve felt a bit of an emptiness without a new mainstage show coming down the pike.
Oh, but The Rep sure is a tease. Whatever excitement we were trying to hold in over the upcoming 40th season lineup is simply irrepressible now. The team has been gradually releasing segments of each show’s promotional poster, and today they unveiled them all.
It’s safe to say we’re nothing short of giddy, with a heaping helping of impatient. The 2015-16 season includes beloved classics, new favorites and even a world premiere with a special celebrity director.
“Our 40th season reflects all that we do best and defines who we are as a theatre company,” said Producing Artistic Director Bob Hupp in a press release. “The 40th season embodies our past, our present and our future. It is a celebration of great stories that capture the imagination and lift our spirits.”
