Heifer International Goes Beyond Hunger with Feast in the Field & Urban Farm Fest

Heifer International is known for offering resources to in-need families all over the world, helping them to become more self-sufficient. But here in our own backyard, Heifer USA has programs that also support local farms, teaching sustainable practices and bringing fresh produce to your table through the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.

This summer, Heifer will celebrate its 75th anniversary and host its two sister events at its downtown Little Rock headquarters to further that local effort.

First up is the third annual Urban Farm Fest set for Thursday, June 6, offering a chance for locals to tip their hats to farmers while enjoying a casual night of food and fun down on the farm. The “sneaker casual” event features food trucks, signature drinks, a lawn games and, yes, lots of adorable farm animals. Learn more about the Urban Farm Fest here and sign up be notified when tickets go on sale.

Then, on Friday, June 7, guests will don their breezy white summer attire for Feast in the Field, a family-style, “farm-to-fork” dinner made with local ingredients from Heifer-partnered farms and cooperatives. The night also includes drinks and dancing, as well as a focus on zero-waste initiatives. Learn more and get your tickets now to Feast in the Field here
