Career goal:
I want to combine my love of biology with my dexterous skills to pursue a career as a surgeon. Specifically, I hope to use my experience of undergoing surgery at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and of being a continual patient there as a foundation for entering a pediatric surgery specialty. In doing so, I hope to be able to restore afflicted children to their normal childhood lives.

Mr. Reed, my science fair mentor and AP physics teacher over the last three years, inspires me to be the best version of myself in and out of the classroom. His enthusiasm in teaching inspires me to pursue new interests, and the unwavering kindness he demonstrates in casual conversations and in helping students has been a model for the way I try to live my life.
