Join the conversation with Mark Rothko’s son, Christopher and the Arkansas Arts Center executive director Todd Herman about the exhibition, “Mark Rothko in the 1940s: The Decisive Decade” at 6 p.m. today (Jan. 16) Mark Rothko is a an American painter generally identified as an Abstract Expressionist.
The Arts Center and Best Impressions restaurant will remain open after-hours for visitors to enjoy the lecture, dinner, and the galleries.
The lecture is sponsored by The Fine Arts Club. Tickets are free for members and $10 for non-members. Tickets are required to attend the lecture, and space is limited, so reserve soon. Reservations are required for dinner at Best Impressions, which will be open from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. For dinner reservations, call 501-907-5946.
