It’s time to lace up your sneaks for a quick lap around the park. The Go! Mile is back.
From our friends over at Go! Running in The Heights, this annual event is marking its 10th year in a socially-distant manner by taking it to the streets and the internet.
As always, the Go! Mile is open to runners of all abilities and ages, with the finish line just a short mile away from the start. You can get your mile in anytime during the month of July, just be sure to time it and upload your results to the RunSignUp website. (And don’t be a cheater and only run downhill the whole time.)
While this year’s race doesn’t have prizes for top finishers and isn’t an RRCA event, the Go! Running team will still post the results so you can get your bragging rights. Plus, they’re giving away lots of swag to runners who post their mile on social media and tag the store.
Proceeds from the Go! Mile benefit the Winston Penn Wardlaw Memorial Fund, a scholarship program set up for students who wish to attend the Little Rock Catholic High School. If you don’t plan on running but still wish to donate, you can do that on the registration page.
