Go Beyond Hunger with Heifer International’s Feast in the Field

By now, you know that Heifer International offers resources to in-need families all over the world, helping them to become more self-sufficient. But here in our own backyard, Heifer USA has programs that also support local farms, teaching sustainable practices and bringing fresh produce to your table through the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.

On Saturday, May 30, at 6 p.m., Heifer will celebrate the farmers who make it all happen at the Beyond Hunger Feast in the Field. The evening will build awareness of and raise funds for the organization’s local programs with a family-style dinner on the lawns of the Heifer International headquarters in Little Rock.

The feast will be prepared by the Heritage Grille Steak and Fin from the Little Rock Marriott, complete with local ingredients from the Heifer-partnered farms. Guests are asked to wear a white ensemble, and will enjoy the sounds of Brian Nahlen, as well as Donna Massey and Blue Eyed Soul, and will even hear from the CSA farmers.
