Giving Guide: Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches

MISSION

Since the sheriffs of Arkansas founded the Youth Ranches in 1976, it has been home to more than 2,050 boys and girls from every corner of the state. Children come to the ranch through no fault of their own; many have been abandoned, abused or neglected. At the ranch, children find hope and healing. Boys and girls live in large family homes with loving houseparents who raise them like their own. Every child receives proper health care and educational opportunities. Children also have an opportunity to gain real-life experience and work with many animals through the ranch’s educational farm program.

FUNDRAISERS AND EVENTS

The 23rd Annual Arkansas Children’s Award Dinner benefiting the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches will honor Dorothy Morris. Join ranch supporters in honoring Dorothy for her life’s work supporting Arkansas children. The dinner will be held Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Little Rock. For more information about how you can support the ranch or to purchase tickets to the dinner, visit YouthRanches.com or call Matthew Cleveland at 501.940.3440.
