MISSION
The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (AMFA) is an inclusive cultural space that inspires and builds community. Founded in 1937, AMFA is the largest cultural institution of its kind in the state, offering a unique blend of visual and performing arts experiences. AMFA is committed to featuring diverse media and artistic perspectives within its 14,000-object permanent collection as well as through rotating temporary exhibitions. AMFA extends a commitment to diversity through its dynamic children’s theater and performing arts program, innovative studio art school and community-focused educational programs for all ages.
Opening in spring 2023, AMFA is undergoing a major transformation of its building and grounds. AMFA’s state-of-the-art facility, along with its integrated landscaping, celebrates the institution’s history and mission of serving the people of Arkansas by providing free admission to all.

Education
Students of all ages and abilities can discover the visual and performing arts at AMFA. Whether it is a beginners ceramics class, a workshop in theatre, or an art history seminar, AMFA is a place where everyone is invited to learn, grow, and be inspired.
