Giving Guide: Arkansas Committee National Museum of Women in the Arts

MISSION:

The Arkansas Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts highlights the accomplishments of Arkansas women artists and shares the groundbreaking work of the Museum in Washington, D.C. with its statewide audience. Established by Helen Walton and Ed Dell Wortz in 1989, the Committee carries out the National Museum’s mission to boost awareness and appreciation of women artists, who are underrepresented in museum collections and undervalued in the market. Programs include: cash Artist Award, paid College Internship, juried Artist Registry and statewide exhibitions.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Gifts of any amount may be given to the Project Endowment Fund at the Arkansas Community Foundation.
  • The NMWA offers memberships starting at $60. Benefits include invitations to exclusive events and subscriptions.
  • Ten $50 Advocate memberships will promote Registry artists for a month on social media.
