Get Ready for the Sixth Annual Fountain Fest

The Arkansas Arts Center’s sixth annual Fountain Fest is bound to be even better than the last. Organized by the AAC Contemporaries, this year’s festival on Oct. 25 features food, drinks, games, live music by Brian Nahlen and Luke Johnson and artmaking activities – including a hands-on screen printing demo with Electric Ghost.

It’s all centered around the Carrie Remmel Dickinson Fountain and its temporary, surprise art installation. After multiple submissions from local artists, the winner is selected by a jury of Contemporaries members and will receive a $1,500 cash prize to offset the cost of materials and time.

The Contemporaries is an affiliate membership group of the AAC made up of young art enthusiasts who wish to expand their knowledge and appreciation of the arts. Funds raised will go towards the purchase of new artwork for the AAC and fund projects that support the AAC.

Tickets to the event are $25 and raffle tickets are $10. Raffle prizes include a 23-year-old bottle of Pappy Van Winkle. For more information, visit the AAC website.
