It’s a good ol’ fashioned flavor contest!
The Green Corner Store’s nonprofit-of-the-month for April is the Dunbar Community Garden Project and Loblolly Creamery needs help creating a special ice cream flavor.
Your flavor must use at least one of the following ingredients: preserved persimmons, last fall harvest pumpkin, sweet plums or marjoram herb.
Think you have something special? To submit your idea, ‘Like’ Loblolly Creamery on Facebook here and send them a message with your flavor by Friday (March 28). The winner gets a pint of their fantastic flavor and the joy of designing ice cream for a good cause. Sweet!
While you’re enjoying the new ice cream flavor next month, be sure and shop around the store to help the garden project. Customers can round up their change to the nearest dollar.
