Fountain Fest Returns With a New Location

The Arkansas Arts Center‘s seventh annual Fountain Fest is back with a change of scenery. Set for Thursday, Oct. 17, this year’s event will take place on the front lawn of the Terry House, just a few blocks from the AAC, which is currently undergoing major renovations.

Organized by the AAC’s young professionals group the Contemporaries, this annual festival features food from Petit & Keet and the Chenal Country Club, sweets from the UA Pulaski Tech Culinary Arts Institute, local brews from Stone’s Throw Brewing and cocktails from Roxor Gin.

Although the star of the show won’t be in attendance — the AAC’s Carrie Remmel Dickinson Fountain — the evening is still packed with fun like live music from Brian Nahlen and Jason Lee Hale, hands-on art projects and more.

“Fountain Fest is a great opportunity for the community to engage with everything the Arts Center and the Contemporaries have to offer,”event chair Chris Smith said. “We’re excited to continue hosting this popular event even while the Arts Center’s MacArthur Park building is under construction.”

The Contemporaries is an affiliate membership group of the AAC made up of young art enthusiasts who wish to expand their knowledge and appreciation of the arts. Funds raised will go toward expanding the AAC’s collection and providing arts programming for young professionals in Little Rock.
