If we had to create a dream Saturday scenario, it would involve sunshine, a farmers market and an “Iron Chef”-type battle of food trucks. Well, somebody pinch us, because that’s exactly what’s happening on June 11.
From 7 a.m.- 2 p.m. on Saturday, the Argenta Farmers Market is celebrating its ninth anniversary (we can’t believe it either) by pulling out all the stops. The farmers, merchants and artisans will be fully stocked with all your favorite seasonal produce, and there will even be a live radio broadcast and family activities to keep the kiddos entertained.
But the icing on the literal cake is the competition wherein local food trucks will battle it out, creating various dishes utilizing products from the market. Win or lose, we expect a very, very delicious outcome.
