Ok, folks. For the past couple weeks, we’ve been throwing a lot of festivals and a lot of dates at you. We decided to streamline the process a bit and give you some of the big players all in one spot to avoid confusion and keep you from missing out on a single second of festival goodness.
So get out your cat calendars or put Siri to work. Here’s a quick rundown of a few festivals to have on the radar this season.
ACANSA Arts Festival | Sept. 23-28
This will be one of THE coolest events to hit Central Arkansas this year. At this collaboration of the local visual and performing arts scene, you’ll find concerts, gallery viewings and dramas to name a few. Look for performances at Wildwood Park for the Arts, Clinton Presidential Center, Argenta Community Theater and so many more. DO NOT MISS THIS.
Chili Fights in the Heights | Oct. 4
This annual street festival pits teams against each other to find the best chili the Heights has to offer. Check their site for registration information. Endless chili? Yes, please.
Main Street Food Truck Festival | Oct. 4
Music, arts and crafts and over 25 food trucks in SoMa. This is a crowd favorite for a reason. Loosen your belt a notch and be there.
HarvestFest | Oct. 4
This event is all things to all people. Concerts, food, games, fashion and tons of vendors await you in Hillcrest at this festival. Plus, if you visit the other two festivals that weekend, this one makes a great nightcap.
Arkansas Cornbread Festival | Nov. 8
Is it possible to have a sweet tooth for cornbread? Well, we do, so you can bet we won’t miss this cook-off in SoMa. Tons of vendors and live music, not to mention the traditionally incredible weather, help to sweeten the deal, too.
