Take heart, summertime aficionados. The season is coming to an end, and with it comes the end of Movies in the Park.
The outdoor movie series at the First Security Amphitheater will bid farewell to 2021 this Wednesday with a screening of “Arkansas,” the 2020 crime thriller starring Liam Hemsworth, Clark Duke, Vince Vaughn, Vivica A. Fox and John Malkovich as moving pieces in the Arkansas drug trade. (As you might have guessed, this one is rated “R,” so leave the kiddos at home.)
The showing is free and will begin at dusk, or about 8:30 p.m. All you have to do is head downtown to the amphitheater and watch the magic take place on the big screen, just as nature intended.
Filmgoers, pets and picnic baskets (but no glass containers) are all invited to enjoy the movies under the stars. An adult must accompany all children under the age of 18, and an ID is required.

And don’t worry, we’ll keep you posted on the 2022 lineup next summer.
