Calling all wine afficiandos, the 10th annual Festival of Wines is set for tonight (Oct. 3).
The annual festival, presented by the Jack Stephens Heart Institute at St. Vincent, encompasses the entire Dickey-Stephens Park, 400 W. Broadway St., North Little Rock, concourse and includes more than 500 wines from around the world. Taste your way through the festival from 6-8:30 p.m.
In addition to the more than 500 wines provided by Moon and Central Distributors, patrons can sample healthy hors d’oeuvres from area restaurants.
Featured restaurants include: 1620 Savoy, Bar Louie, Boscos Restaurant & Brewing Co., Boulevard Bread Co.,Bray Gourmet, Cache, Cheers in the Heights/Maumelle, Cregeen’s Irish Pub, Whole Hog Cafe (North Little Rock location), P.F Chang’s China Bistro, Salut!, Two Sisters Catering and Ya Ya’s Euro Bistro.
The Festival of Wines, which raises funds to fight heart disease and stroke, America’s No. 1 and No. 4 killers, includes silent and premier auctions and live painting by local artists. For the 10th consecutive year, local artist Tracee Gentry will return to present and auction off a signature painting for the festival.
