As the sun peaks in the desert sky, skimming across the red rock cliffs of Arizona, pickleball players of all skill sets are readying their rackets to hit the picturesque courts at Enchantment Resort.
The resort is nestled at the base of Sedona’s iconic Boynton Canyon, where the stunning Southwest scenery is dramatic, yet calming. Natural wonder is everywhere you look, and the outdoor adventures and activities are endless, making Sedona a must-visit spot for travelers, especially — though perhaps surprisingly — for those who play pickleball.
Cited as the Sports & Fitness Industry Association’s fastest-growing sport in America for the third year in a row, pickleball can be enjoyed year-round in Arizona due to the state’s largely temperate weather, though proper precautions must be taken in the heat. Here, players of all backgrounds and demographics can take part in this fun, inclusive and easy-to-learn sport against one of the country’s most scenic backdrops.
Whether you’re pickleball obsessed or simply want to casually play for fun at a top-rated resort, this is the place for you. Enchantment boasts two pickleball courts situated among panoramic views of towering buttes and saturated red rocks.
The resort’s talented instructors, all of whom are certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association, lead immersive camps, private lessons and private clinics. From beginner to advanced, there are levels for coworkers, friends and the whole family to enjoy. Plus, Enchantment is once again partnering with Nike to host a special pickleball camp this summer. From June 23-25, guests will have the opportunity to be instructed by dedicated pickleball professionals while making new connections and enjoying food and wine.
Of course, the modern resort has many other amenities you will definitely want to take pleasure in after you sweat it out on the courts. Hit the greens at the championship 18-hole golf course after you emerge from your spacious casita or homey suite. Try out a high-end gym class or guided hike. Finish off the day with a dip in the outdoor pool or hot tub after you partake in one of the four delicious restaurants.
World-class destination spa Mii amo is also located on the grounds of Enchantment. Recently voted as the No. 1 domestic destination spa by Travel + Leisure Magazine, Mii amo is acclaimed for its full menu of body treatments, specialty services and a cafe that serves fine, nutritious cuisine.
From sunup pickleball sessions to sundown luxuries, Enchantment truly is a place of magic and relaxation you won’t find anywhere else. The sleek design style of the resort combined with the marvels of Mother Nature makes for an unforgettable experience. Between the groves of pinyon and ponderosa pines and striking pickleball courts is where you’ll find us.

Central Arkansans hoping to get in on the pickleball action without hopping a flight are in luck. Plans for a new pickleball park are currently in the works at the Little Rock Athletic Club.
Touted as the only dedicated indoor pickleball facility in the state, the space will feature eight indoor courts and four outdoor courts, as well as a sand volleyball court and a paved walking trail with space for yard games, food trucks and entertainment. Guests will be able to take advantage of private and group lessons, drills and open and league play for all levels.
“We haven’t been more excited about a movement since ‘aerobics’ came on the scene decades ago,” CEO Frank Lawrence says. “Pickleball is an easy-to-learn game that’s perfect for people who enjoy active fun as well as those who prefer competition, regardless of age. It’s exactly what our brand is about, and we’ve decided to commit the resources and staff to make it happen for central Arkansas in a big way.”
The park will be located just south of LRAC at 4610 Sam Peck Road and is expected to open early next year.
