Eggshells Kitchen Co. Releases March Cooking Class Lineup

Freaked out that it’s already the last week of February? Don’t be. March is going to be incredible and Eggshells Kitchen Co. is doing their fair share to make that a reality. 

The shop’s recently announced lineup of upcoming cooking classes will have you wishing the days away until you can attend these intimate settings with the brains behind some of your favorite central Arkansas dishes.

So before your datebook gets filled up, you might want to make some space for these folks.

 

March 2 – Mastering Vegetable Fermentation with Kristen and Christopher Shockey

In case you haven’t noticed, fermenting has definitely been making the rounds lately in food culture. The Shockeys, authors of “Fermented Vegetables,” will share all the reasons why the practice is great for you and your tastebuds, while also teaching all the basics about fermentation in pastes, chutneys, kimchis, krauts and more. March 7 – Brunch with Zara Abbasi Wilkerson

Have you fallen in love with brunch yet? If not, you don’t know what you’re missing. The same goes for brunch-master Zara Abbasi Wilkerson. As the head pastry chef at Natchez, she knows exactly how to make this underdog of a meal into your new favorite thing. She’ll be sharing some of these secrets with attendees, who will each be met at the door with a mimosa. For more information, click here.

 

March 9 – Chocolate Lovers with Ashton Woodward

All of Arkansas (us included) is gaga over Cocoa Rouge, the new chocolate line from Arkansas Fresh Bakery’s Ashton Woodward. Whether you’re a self-diagnosed chocaholic or not, you can’t say no these handmade, artisan, Belgian-style treats. Also, there’s wine. For more information, click here.

 

March 13 – St. Paddy’s Day with Ben Brainard and Matt Bell

My, aren’t you lucky? Forget the pub this St. Patrick’s Day and head to Eggshells for a local twist on an Irish meal led by the tag-team likes of Chefs Matt Bell (South on Main) and Ben Brainard (Local Lime, Heights Taco & Tamale).
