Less than a week after the news that Chef Matt and Amy Bell were leaving the restaurant they opened in 2013, we have word on who will step in to fill the role at South on Main.

The restaurant just announced that Don Dugan and Tasha Stratton — the current operators of Dugan’s Pub, Stratton’s Market and Dizzy’s Bistro — are the new owners of the SoMa favorite.
“For us it is an opportunity to continue and build on the legacy of the incredible food, service and live music that Chef Bell has built, and we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors,” Dugan said.
Little Rock native Chef Matt Verch will step up into the executive chef position while the rest of the South on Main staff will retain their roles.
“After meeting with the Dugans we knew immediately that they would take great care of our staff and continue the legacy our team built,” Bell said. “While this move is bittersweet, we feel heartened in knowing South on Main, as a business and a family, will be in good hands.”
