Dr. Sanjay Gupta Named Keynote Speaker for Anne Hickman Lectureship

He’s one of the most recognized medical professionals in the country, and now he’s coming to Little Rock. 

Chief medical correspondent for CNN Dr. Sanjay Gupta is scheduled to lead Arkansas Children’s Hospital Anne Hickman Lectureship luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Statehouse Convention Center.

Dr. Gupta has been a part of the CNN team for 15 years, covering everything from Ebola and healthcare reform to 9/11 and war zones, performing life-saving surgeries in the process. Pulling from both his experiences as a practicing neurosurgeon and as a multiple Emmy award-winning reporter, Dr. Gupta will speak on critical pediatric health care issues in the U.S.

The focus on children’s issues in honor of long-time child advocate and ACH board member, Anne Hickman. Since its beginning in 1995, this biennial event has hosted the likes of Elizabeth Smart, Ted Kennedy Jr., Archie Manning, Dale Bumpers and Hillary Clinton.
