Downtown Gets Spruced with Annual Tree Lighting Party

It’s beginning to look (and feel) a lot like Christmas. The Downtown Little Rock Partnership will once again host Bright the Night, its annual tree lighting bash, on Monday, Nov. 25, at Capitol Plaza on the corner of Capitol Avenue and Main Street.

Flipping the holiday switch, the event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with merry locals filling the space to enjoy live performances by the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra to accompany the tree lighting ceremony.

Attendees can sip on free hot chocolate from Big Bad Breakfast and Hiland Dairy with some Community Bakery cookies and a side of caroling. There will also be a kids’ zone with visits from Santa and a Christmas train to get a better view of the magic.

The tree-lighting event is free and open to the public, and the downtown winter wonderland will be on display through early January.
