You don’t have to tell us the power of fashion in the South. It forms a particular blend with family and tradition, and that’s exactly what the Fashion Footprints events set out to celebrate.
The Capital Hotel, Esse Purse Museum, Oxford American Magazine and designer Linda Rowe Thomas are all coming together to put on this amalgamation of style, and you will want to be there.
The little black dress is the first focus in the Fashion Footprints lineup, which will take place Thursday, March 12, at Linda Rowe Thomas’s brand new downtown Little Rock studio. Not only will it celebrate the classic LBD, but will also incorporate family and emotional ties by asking guests to wear a black article of clothing with a sentimental aspect.
Then, because talking fashion is half the fun, guests are encouraged to visit the fashion confessional to tell all about it. There’s even an interactive fashion-art piece, which is titled the “cocktale dress.”
If that wasn’t enough, one lucky guest will also win a custom little black dress from Romás, Linda Rowe Thomas’s fashion line.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m. at 310 Center St. Click here to register and for more info, and watch the video below to hear Linda Rowe Thomas speak on her fashion heritage.
