Flip flops? Tennis shoes? Dress shoes? Anything with a good sole? Doesn’t matter! The Little Rock Fire Department needs your shoes.
Little Rock’s firefighters are partnering with the Ozark Water Projects’ Fourth Annual Shoe Drive, which sends footwear to distributors in South America, Haiti and Kenya. There, the shoes are sold or used for barter.
The event started March 1, and you have until Sunday (March 16) to bring your shoes any of the Little Rock fire stations.
The shoes sent to the countries are sold to build the local economies, and protect the new owner’s feet and overall health.
