Dogtown Yoga to Host Free Series at Argenta Plaza

Back in 2021, when the world was in the grasp of COVID-19 and all of the physical, mental and emotional stresses that came with it, more people began to take interest in mindfulness.

As gyms and studios were forced to shut down, many owners and instructors made the move to online or outdoor classes. One local practice, Dogtown Yoga, was created out of the need for more accessible classes for all. Founders Ann Thompson and Shontel Lee did just that by finding inner peace in the outdoors.

The two yogis partnered up with the North Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau to offer Yoga at the Plaza, a free hour-long, beginner-friendly class held at the beautiful, spacious, outdoor venue at Argenta Plaza. The series is about going beyond the matt to unwind, recharge and connect with others in the community.

Now in its third year, Yoga at the Plaza will kick off this season on April 5, and the community class will be held every Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. Classes will continue through the fall depending on the support of funded donations, so bring a friend and get your ohm on in the great outdoors.

Keep up with Dogtown Yoga by following along on Facebook and Instagram, and visit the website for more information on upcoming classes.
