Cookout season is around the corner and the new Dogtown Farmer’s Market, opening April 23 in North Little Rock, will provide another option for finding fresh fruit, produce and other locally grown and crafted goodies to enhance your warm weather get-togethers.
The market will be located at the parking lot next to the William F. Laman Argenta Branch Library (410 N. Main St.) and will be open from 7 a.m-noon each Saturday through Oct. 29.
The market, owned by Argenta Farm Fresh LLC, strives to connect farmers and artisans to customers in an effort to build the local economy; to provide an environment that fosters learning and connection and to attract new businesses to the Argenta district and to help grow businesses in downtown North Little Rock.
Dogtown Farmer’s Market is partnered with two sister markets, basing its rules and regulations on those established by the Arkansas Local Food Network and the Bernice Garden Farmer’s Market, meaning vendors approved at those markets are also approved at Dogtown.
A vendor’s list is not yet available, but to keep an eye on who’s in, to apply as a vendor yourself or to find more information, visit the Dogtown Farmers Market website or follow them on Facebook.
