Dodgeball Santa Tournament is Back to Benefit the Ronald McDonald House

File this under “reindeer games.”

Now in its third year, the Dodgeball Santa tournament for charity returns on Sunday, Dec. 10, this time on the south side of the river at the corner of Capitol Avenue and Main Street, also known as Capitol Plaza.

This rubber ball battle pits teams of locals — coworkers, neighbors, book clubs or whoever wants to join forces — against each other for the ultimate bragging rights and coveted wrench trophy, all while dressed in their best holiday-themed costumes.

To fuel the fight, there will also be food trucks on site, as well as beer from Flyway Brewing. And if hand-to-hand combat isn’t your thing, you can still come and watch or snag a VIP table.

Proceeds from this year’s event go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas & North Louisiana, which provides a “home away from home” for families with kids receiving treatment at local hospitals.

The throwdown goes down at 1 p.m. For more information and to register your team, visit the Dodgeball Santa website and follow along on Facebook and Instagram.
