Even if you’ve lived in Arkansas your whole life, chances are you’ve still never been to Murfreesboro to dig for diamonds at the Crater of Diamonds State Park.
Well, get ready to check it off your AR bucket list because Stanley Jewelers in North Little Rock is hosting a Diamond Dig Day on Sept. 24 as part of the Southern Stars Know Your Cutter Tour featuring master diamond cutter Mike Botha.
The bus leaves from their parking lot at 9 a.m. and includes a day of digging for diamonds with lunch, tour and tools included in the $50 ticket price, and will return at approximately 6 p.m.
Then, on Sept. 25, Botha will be at Stanley Jewelers for a diamond cutting and polishing event. Guests will first get to observe the master at work, but then will have a chance to try it themselves. Plus, you can enter a drawing to win a diamond at the end of the Southern Stars Tour in October.
