Local Lime, Big Orange and ZaZa Owners to Open New Brewery

Craft beer lovers in Little Rock are going to have even more options to quench their thirst when yet another brewing company makes its home in the capital city.

Yellow Rocket Concepts–parent company of Big Orange Burgers + Salads & Shakes, Local Lime Tacos & Margaritas, and ZaZa Fine Salad & Wood Oven Pizza Company– recently announced the creation of Lost 40 Brewing Company in Little Rock. Yellow Rocket is owned by partners Scott McGehee, John Beachboard and Russ McDonough.

The brewery, located downtown in the old Candy Bouquet headquarters on McLean and Capitol, will begin production with a 30 barrel brewhouse. The owners announced Omar Castrellon, a master brewer and former Little Rock resident will return and run the brewery which is expected to open late summer/early fall of this year. Brewery tours will be offered and an on-site tap room to sample beers. Date night, anyone? In addition, Lost 40 Beer will be available in restaurants, liquor stores, and grocery stores across the state.

The Arkansas Times reports that Yellow Rocket has leased a 19,000-SF space — the former Candy Bouquet headquarters — at McLean and Capitol for the brewery.

As if this news wasn’t exciting enough, the group also mentioned plans for new restaurant concepts and locations this year. We can hardly wait!
