Community Theatre of Little Rock Stages ‘Young Frankenstein: The Musical’

Mel Brooks fans, clear your schedules.

Thanks to the Community Theatre of Little Rock, one of the best Halloween movies ever (fact) is getting the song-and-dance treatment with “Young Frankenstein: The Musical.”

Directed by Tamara Boggs and Mark A. Burbank, this comedic show is here just in time to get you in the spooky spirit. Mel Brooks’ “Young Frankenstein: The Musical” follows the same storyline as the famous movie from which it is adapted. Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced Fronk-en-steen, thank you very much) heads back to the family estate in Transylvania and takes on the mad scientist role for himself with the help of Igor, Inga, Frau Blücher and more.

And what’s better than watching all your favorite characters chase down monsters when all hell breaks loose? Watching them chase down monsters set to Broadway numbers like “The Transylvania Mania,” “Puttin’ On The Ritz” and “He Vas My Boyfriend.”

“Young Frankenstein” will run each weekend through Oct. 30. For this show, CTLR is staging a takeover at The Studio Theatre at 320 West 7th Street. Click here to reserve your tickets.
