When you don’t want to face the summer heat, there’s only one possible thing left to do: stay inside and hone your chef skills.
Eggshells Kitchen Co., the Heights’ resident cooking supply store, has you covered with yet another amazing lineup of cooking classes. Here’s what you should clear your schedules for:
- Aug. 5: Blackening and Cream Sauce with Chef Mindy Mitchell
- Aug. 7: Japanese Cuisine with Chef Michael Reid (aka Cast Iron Mike)
- Aug. 19: American Haute Cuisine with Chef Bonner Cameron of Allsopp & Chapple
- Aug. 21: Ethnic Mashups with Diamond Chef Award winner Chef Jason Knapp
- Aug. 22: Back to Wine – Wines for the End of Summer with sommelier Jonathan Looney of O’Looney’s Wine & Liquor
- Aug. 26: Kids Back to School Cooking for the whole family
- Aug. 27: Taco Tuesday Healthy Edition with Stephanie Newcomb of Unleashed Health & Fitness
- Aug. 28: Hands-On Tamales with Chef Amanda Ivy of Low Ivy Catering
Classes are held at the Eggshells home base at 5501 N. Kavanaugh Blvd., and most begin at 6 p.m. For many classes, ticket price includes a complimentary glass of wine to accompany the meal the chef has prepared. Guests are encouraged to bring a beverage of choice.
