Check Out Splash of Glass at Garvan Gardens

All spring and summer long, the public will have the chance to take in beautiful art creations in a gorgeous setting.

From now through Sept. 30, Garvan Woodland Gardens, 550 Arkridge Rd., Hot Springs National Park, will sparkle with the unique art glass creations of James Hayes for a very special “Splash of Glass” exhibit.

Pieces will be “splashed” across the 210-acre peninsula on the shores of Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs.

The exhibit will reside in 13 areas in the gardens, with glass creations depicting flowers, onions, mushrooms and vines as well as some of James Hayes’ traditional bowls and chandeliers installed in fanciful settings throughout the beautiful woodlands.

Hayes, a Pine Bluff native, has created 225 pieces of multi-colored art glass exclusively for Garvan Woodland Gardens in a myriad of shapes and styles to amaze and delight visitors to the Gardens.

A portion of the sales of all Hayes works from May to September will benefit Garvan Woodland Gardens. Several of the exhibit pieces are still available for sponsorship, with sponsor taking ownership of the glass art piece at the conclusion of the exhibit. Call Kristin Mangham at (501) 262-9615 for more information.
