We gather here today to raise a frosted glass to The Green Corner Store.
Everyone’s favorite local ice cream shop, Loblolly Creamery, has been slinging scoops of handcrafted deliciousness inside the SoMa store since 2012. Now, as the team prepares to expand into their own space next door, Loblolly is bidding a fond farewell to its first home with a weekend-long “ode to the soda fountain.”
From Friday-Sunday, Loblolly is spending its last weekend in the shop by featuring special eats for customers who come to join the celebration. Guests can get their fill of chocolate egg creams, brownie sundaes, soda floats, milkshakes and chocolate chip cookies. You can even get complimentary housemade waffle cones on Sunday.
So while we will miss getting our Loblolly scoops from The Green Corner Store, let us all give a tasty toast to ye olde soda fountain and the frosty future of both spaces.
