Time to give Mother Earth some TLC.
America Recycles Day, Nov. 15, is nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling, the only one of its kind in the U.S. It’s a day where communities focus on “environmental citizenship” and encourage good recycling habits.
Here at home, Little Rock is gathering to celebrate America Recycles Day at The Bernice Garden from 5-8 p.m. The party includes live music, face painting for the kiddos, eats from the El Sur food truck and local brews from Flyway, Lost Forty and Buffalo Brewing.
And while you’re enjoying the fun, you’ll have the chance to learn about these local forces for change:
- ACE Glass Recycling
- The Cloth Option
- Drain-Smart
- ESCO Processing and Recycling
- Friends of Fourche Creek
- The Green Corner Store
- Keep Arkansas Beautiful
- Little Rock Zoo
- Natural State Recycling
- Recycle Bikes for Kids
- Shred Smart
- Southern Blonde and Co.
- The Urban Food Loop
- Waste Management – Little Rock Recycling Facility
