We love a good birthday party, and lucky for us, Rock Town Distillery is on the same wavelength. Our friends over at the state’s first legal distillery since Prohibition are coming up on their fifth birthday, and to celebrate this joyous anniversary, are marking the date with things not meant for five-year-olds. Then again, we forget what the conversion is for whiskey years.
On Saturday, June 20, Rock Town will host special events all day, including sit-down tastings pairing rare Rock Town whiskeys with local meats and cheese at 2 and 4 p.m., free tours at 1:30, 3 and 4 p.m., a food truck meetup from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., as well as drawings for free anniversary merch.
The best part? The distillery is using this birthday opportunity to release a limited edition Rock Town Fifth Anniversary Arkansas Straight Bourbon Whiskey, aged for four years—longer than any of its previous bourbon whiskeys. Hallelujah and happy birthday!
Space for the tastings is extremely limited and is going fast. It’s only $10 a seat, so hurry up and call (501) 907-5244 to get your spot. If you want to ensure you’ll get a taste of the anniversary bourbon whiskey, call in and reserve a bottle with a 50 percent deposit.
