Get your cycle on for a great cause.
The first-ever Tour de Spin event hosted by the CARTI Foundation is guaranteed to get your heart pumping and those endorphins flowing. Tour de Spin is a four-hour indoor spin event that will raise funds to support cancer patients across Arkansas on Saturday, March 7, from 8 a.m. to noon.
“We are thrilled to build on the momentum of our annual Tour de Rock fundraiser and launch Tour de Spin,” said Jennifer Selig, executive vice president of the CARTI Foundation. “From hardcore spin junkies to outdoor cycling fanatics, we invite anyone to join us for this high-energy event that will benefit CARTI’s patient support services, including housing, transportation, emotional, nutritional and financial counseling.”
The event will take place simultaneously at three local spin studios: The Little Rock Athletic Club, Little Rock Racquet Club and the North Little Rock Athletic Club. Top local spin instructors will lead the four sessions, which can be done as one-hour sessions for individuals or as a four-hour relay cycle as a team.
Tour de Spin is part of CARTI’s Tour de Rock, one of Arkansas’ largest cycling events. Held on May 30, riders can choose from one of four routes, (25, 50, 62 or 100 miles), that wind through central Arkansas. This year’s route will begin and end in Argenta. Riders and their cheerleaders can celebrate after the race with food, drinks and music at an afterparty hosted at Heifer International. Registration for the race is open now online.
